The job duties of the position include: Prepare project-specific designs on assigned projects related to submerged motor pumps used to pump Cryogenic Light Hydrocarbon fluids, including primarily Liquified Natural Gas; ensure that designs meet regulatory, code and contract requirements; ensure technical accuracy; prepare primary work product, namely VDL (Vendor Document List) content, including contract engineering calculations and spec-controlled critical material drawings & Bills of Material on assigned projects in order for customer engineers to prepare designs of the facilities in which the pumps are to be installed; responsible for ensuring that conflicts between technical goals and productivity, and schedule goals arising within the group, are resolved; refer conflicts to management where necessary; maintain a project review database to record that engineering function processes are followed, specifically Concept Review , Preliminary Design Review , and Final Design Review ; support pump installation, system start-up, and commissioning activities of project engineers in the field; prepare project database that will be maintained by Field Service for all installed pump systems; ensure that design changes made during the period from order entry through warranty expiration are incorporated into the documentation control system. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a design or application engineer in pump hydraulics, plus knowledge of API 610 pumps, ASME Pressure Vessel Code Section 8; the properties of cryogenic light hydrocarbons; and experience in issues related to cryogenic pump operation or testing. Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
